I just love the colors of everything in Italy.  The washed out orange, peach, pink, marigold, yellow...simply gorgeous.

Now I am pretty small, but even a smaller person must drive around in this.  Most Americans would not even fit in this car.  Such a cute delivery vehicle I just had to get a picture. Spiazzo is surrounded by the Alps, I can't imagine driving on snowy roads in the winter there in this vehicle!

A place I had always dreamed of going.  Seeing it's picturesque villa covered hills on 100's of travel magazines all of my life.  I had wanted to go there since I was 12 yrs. old.  I finally made it!!  Positano was better than any dream I could have had.  It exceeded my expectations in so many ways, but the people were what truly made the experience so wonderful.

The amazing Piazza San Marco in Venice Italy.  A place where you hear people's voices over motorized traffic.  Surrounded by it's majestic architecture you can't help but be in AWE!

When I arrived in Milan, IT to visit my friend Anna this is what she greeted me with!  A large jug of Italian wine...within 2hrs. of being in Italy I had more wine than I could dream of LOL.  It is typical of Italians to have big jugs of home made wine like this that they get from some one local that makes it.  My friend gets it from a guy who lives on the same block as her........now that's a nice Italian benefit hahaha.

Well it's hard not to recognize this.  The famous Roman Coliseum. When in Rome you really can't miss it.  It is a sight to see in person and an amazing piece of history.  Of course I had to feature at least one photo of it from my trip to Rome.

The Colosseum or Roman Coliseum, originally the Flavian Amphitheatre (Latin: Amphitheatrum Flavium, Italian Anfiteatro Flavio or Colosseo), is an elliptical amphitheatre in the center of the city of Rome, Italy, the largest ever built in the Roman Empire. It is one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and Roman engineering.

Occupying a site just east of the Roman Forum, its construction started between 70 and 72 AD^[1] under the emperor Vespasian and was completed in 80 AD under Titus^[2], with further modifications being made during Domitian's reign (81–96).^[3] The name "Amphitheatrum Flavium" derives from both Vespasian's and Titus's family name (Flavius, from the gens Flavia).

Capable of seating 50,000 spectators,^[1][4][5] the Colosseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles. As well as the gladiatorial games, other public spectacles were held there, such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Classical mythology. The building ceased to be used for entertainment in the early medieval era. It was later reused for such purposes as housing, workshops, quarters for a religious order, a fortress, a quarry, and a Christian shrine.

It has been estimated that about 500,000 people and over a million wild animals died in the Colosseum games.^[6][7]

Although in the 21st century it stays partially ruined due to damage caused by devastating earthquakes and stone-robbers, the Colosseum is an iconic symbol of Imperial Rome and its breakthrough achievements in earthquake engineering. It is one of Rome's most popular tourist attractions and still has close connections with the Roman Catholic Church, as each Good Friday the Pope leads a torchlit "Way of the Cross" procession around the various levels of the amphitheatre.

This is another one of my prized photos I took in Italy.  The sky was amazing and the soft subtle tones gave this photo an A+ for me LOL.  There's also an ominous feel to it that is mysterious to me.  Florence is a gorgeous and very photogenic city.

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to snap this shot while walking along in Venice.  The lighting and colors were just perfect.  It was a kodak moment you could say.  I have many more photos of Venice, but wanted to share this one first as I just think it is a beautiful picture.

I stayed in a small town called Spiazzo with friends and this is a walk we took right behind their house. Spiazzo is a small town not far from Trento.  Absolutely gorgeous.

Spiazzo is a comune (municipality) in the province of Trento in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 30 km west of Trento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,164 and an area of 70.6 km².^[1]

Spiazzo borders the following municipalities: Ponte di Legno, Vermiglio, Giustino, Strembo, Saviore dell'Adamello, Caderzone, Massimeno, Daone, Bocenago, Pelugo and Montagne.
